RAE ANTWERP Spring/Summer 2023: BIRDS OF PARADISE
With the first drop hitting the stores this week, the Spring/Summer 2023 season has kicked off for RAE Antwerp. It’s in the name, the Birds of Paradise collection is inspired by.. birds – their magnificent colours, stunning shapes and the freedom of movement and the representation of women.
With the influences of the characteristics of the feathered creature, the designs by Andrea Giunta deliver bold coloured results. The garments are flowing with lots of room for movement and small details. Each print is designed in-house and based by objects found in nature. Names such as purple haze, peach blossom and garden can be traced back to nature.
This RAE collection is made of 100% natural products: a bamboo viscose, ecovero viscose – currently the most sustainable material on the market, cupro, cotton and cashmere. New fabrics that are introduced this season are linen and silk. Over half of the collection is vegan and/or made of products that would normally be disposed of.
New silhouettes were added to the RAE collection as the Aimee and the May dress, the Melissa linen cropped top and the Deirdre linen skirt and the Rose jumpsuit. The Tuxedo pant and the Dorit dress, are brought back by popular demand.
