“Most people collect souvenirs when they travel, I collect clothing. Travelling extensively, I gather inspiration everywhere I go. Since childhood my hobby has been collecting amazing (vintage) clothing, designing from my imagination and sewing my dream pieces together.”
For the past 5 years, Andrea Giunta has supported her fiancé Hugo Denizli design his Enes Collection and watched closely his activities at Enes Showroom in Antwerp, where her RAE collection is sold to retailers. There she saw the behind the scenes of the fashion industry; everything from fashion forecasting, design, production, sales and distribution. Together with a background in Brand Marketing Communications, Andrea decided to follow her childhood dream to curate her own fashion label.
RAE was launched in 2018 with the aim to create a beautiful collection with the perfect fits, made from luxurious fabrics, feminine with edge and for a price that remains affordable.
The objective to be a sustainable brand has been a core value from the beginning.
“Essentially what I am doing is creating a collection for all the clothes I want to wear myself that I cannot find elsewhere.
I always want to have pockets, even in all my dresses because it adds to the comfort no matter what situation I am in – whether working or dancing.”
After two years of extensive work, the first RAE collection arrived in stores in January of 2020 and this SS20 collection was available in over 25 multi-brand stores in the Benelux. Now on the 4th season, RAE is sold to 40+ exclusive boutiques across the Benelux and Switzerland with projections to expand to the UK, Canada and the USA by SS22.
Next to multi-brand retailers, this week the RAE webshop launched with the Fall Winter 2021 season.
The Fall Winter 2021 ‘Supernova’ collection has a complete line of knitwear, pants, dresses and loungewear. The eclectic prints were all designed in-house with deep hues and an extensive palette such as the Ponti Berry check, Fuchsia and Ginger Mousse. The collection includes many new silhouettes, but also re-occuring key styles such as the Galaxy Jumpsuit which comes this season in a black and also bleach stretch denim.
Prices range between 120 – 300 euros.
