RAE ANTWERP AUTUMN/WINTER 2023: THE BREAKFAST CLUB
With the first drop hitting the stores this week, the Autumn/Winter 2023 season has kicked off for RAE Antwerp. The Breakfast Club collection is inspired by the 80’s and 90’s and could be defined as ‘sexy prep’.
With the influences of pop culture, the collection has an old-money preppy aesthetic and brings back pieces like the cableknit sweater, tweed micro mini in camel, khaki and grey, the popped collar and layers upon layers. Think Princess Diana, Blair Waldorf in Gossip Girl and movies like the Breakfast Club and Clueless.
The colours are all classic and rich: dark indigo blue, deep bordeaux red, rich hues of brown and khaki, and black. The prints are bold and daring – poppy flowers, paisley, preppy checks and vertical stripes.
RAE’s cashmere collection is beyond luxurious with argyle vests, cardigans and sweaters with chunky knits with matching skirts.
This RAE collection is made of 100% natural products: bamboo viscose, ecovero viscose, cupro, cotton, wool and cashmere.
The new highlights are the Axelle Dress in either a new print in poppy and checks or a solid black, petrol or burgundy. Another typical RAE look is the Slim Pant in a cargo version with a matching Reid top and the London Pant in set with the Edward top made in a luxurious wool.
