Deconstructed trench coats and hybrid leather jackets: reimagining classic menswear and womenswear pieces.
Following a brief hiatus from the runway this season, HUGO has revealed its latest Editorial collection for Spring/Summer 2020. In line with the brand’s commercial offering, the collection celebrates the splendid seventies by reinterpreting time-honored silhouettes.
With pop culture icons of the period as the creative spark, HUGO delivers its most elevated collection yet. No big logos, no statement prints. Instead: sophisticated versions of seventies wardrobe favorites, like deconstructed versions of a classic trench coat and leather jackets trimmed in round silver studs. Other iconic pieces from the era are recut with a HUGO eye – see workwear jackets in lustrous silk-blends, patterned polo shirts in knitted fabrics, and vintage-style suits in cropped and oversized proportions.
In a final finish to the looks, there are also a number of shoes and accessories within the collection, like chunky boat shoes with lace details, beige-colored cowboy boots, and baker boy caps crafted from cotton twill. This spring, HUGO nods to the classics, proving that certain pieces transcend trends and time.
