CONVERSE – ONE STAR SPRING 18

The One Star is gritty. It defies convention. Against all odds, One Star is a force of culture, emerging on the feet of the next generation that rediscovers it. Built for the court, the One Star launched in 1974 as the groundbreaking low-top off-shoot of the All Star. Just a year later, it would disappear from the Converse line up.

Despite being a relative underachiever on its original release, the One Star emerged in the 90’s, adopted by skate and street communities, and building a heritage around anti-conformity across the world. In a nod to its history, and emergence as a rising street icon today, the One Star comes to life in Spring 2018 with bold colors, and new takes on classic design elements – like the 1970s court-inspired “hairy” suede, and original Converse camo print.

Appearing on the feet of individuals that defy traditional definitions of who they “should” be, including A$AP Nast, Swedish songwriter, Tove Lo, Brockhampton, Leo Mandella, Mabel McVey and Oh Hyuk, rock the One Star in their own way in the Spring 2018 lookbook. If you disagree, One Star doesn’t care. But it might end up changing your mind.

The Converse One Star Spring 2018 Collection launches globally at Converse.com, Converse stores and global retailers starting February 1, 2018.
